National Park Rangers have a wealth of knowledge and love to share their stories. Many of our walks are suitable for families with children who enjoy a challenge. And kids under 18 go free with paying adults!

Advanced Navigation Training at Edale - Saturday 20 April and 21 September

Saturday 20 April and 21 September. Advanced moorland navigation with the Rangers. A short classroom presentation will be followed by practice on a walk.

Lost Landscapes Under Derwent Edge - Saturday 20 April 2024

Saturday 20 April. 7 miles. Beyond this watery landscape lies evidence of old farmsteads and medieval settlements where people made a life in a harsh environment.

Lovely Lathkill Dale - Sunday 28 April 2024

Sunday 28th April 2024 - 9.5 miles - Explore part of the Limestone Way with views across the White Peak plateau before descending into Lathkill Dale National Nature Reserve.

Learn a Little Birdsong - Saturday 27 April 2024

Saturday 27 April. 8 miles. A walk through different habitats listening to the bird species found in each habitat. We will pass a reservoir, river, woodland areas, moorland and farmland.

Bronze Age Life and Death on Bamford Moor - Saturday 27 April 2024

Saturday 27 April. 6 miles. Discover the field systems, settlements, cairns and the stone circle that were at the centre of the life and death of Bronze Age farmers.
