In the Footsteps of Jane Eyre - Saturday 21 June

A literature-inspired walk around the beautiful North Lees Estate, the setting of Charlotte Bronte's much-loved novel Jane Eyre. We walk through woods, moorland and a wildflower meadow and stand outside the Elizabethan tower house on wihch Thornfield was based. No knowledge of the novel is required to appreciate the walk.
Event Grade: Moderate - moderate walks on ground with sometimes rough and uneven terrain and gradients.
Event Terrain: Woodland, fields and moorland, with some quiet road walking. Some rough paths and some muddy ground and approximately two miles of ascent. Some steep bits, but we will have lots of rests!
Extra items: It can be chilly on the moor, even on a sunny day. So please bring extra layers.
