Hidden Secrets of the Upper Derwent - Saturday 29 March

Walking off the beaten track, discovering lost farms, fascinating stories and hidden paths in the deep moorland cloughs and dark forests. This is a chance to discover some of the less visited, lonely parts of the Upper Derwent Valley, which we will learn were not always so quiet. Please park and then meet in the Staff car park. Then a short drive in convoy to the start of the walk

Event Grade: Hard - longer more challenging walks usually with ascents and descents and rough terrain.

Event Terrain: Some rough and steep walking.

Extra Items: Good boots and warm, waterproof clothing.

Start: 10.00am  Finish: 4.00pm

Meeting Point: Fairholmes Visitor Centre, Derwent Lane, Bamford - near Derwent Dam. Please park and then meet in the staff car park by the cycle hire as we are going to drive, in convoy, to the start of the walk.
