A lovely scenic walk around Abney and the surrounding area.  We pass Lady Wash mine before reaching the trig point at the top of Sir William Hill.  Is this your first Ethel ?! There are 95 of these hills, the highest and /or most prominent in the Peak District - ask the Rangers for details.

We continue with some strenuous walking over varying terrain and some steep sections before descending to the lovely village of Foolow.

Event Grade: Hard.  Strenuous, challenging walks with steep gradients and rough ground.

Parking: P+D in Eyam car park near the museum.  Free parking behind.  Toilets available.
