Nature Explorers Family Walk, Manifold Valley - Wednesday 29 July
Up to 1.5 miles (depends on activities and weather)
A gentle walk with Rangers, including hands-on activities and games along the beautiful Manifold Valley Trail, exploring the sights and sounds of nature and local history. Activities aimed at primary age children - find out what lives in the river and on land and how the valley was once home to a narrow-gauge steam railway!
Event Terrain: This walk is pushchair friendly but not suitable for wheelchairs. Level cycle track and field with minor lumps and bumps. Part of route suitable for pushchairs along track, part in fields. NB. Please enquire if more info needed.
Event Grade: Easy. Taken at a leisurely pace. May involve stiles and rough ground.
Extra Items: Binoculars if you have them. Packed lunch and drink, walking boots/shoes, waterproofs, sun cream and hat.
