This walk takes a fascinating route through a historic landscape. There is lots to see, including evidence of the lead mining industry and bronze age monuments. From Great Longstone village we head up old pony tracks to Longstone Edge. Then along to Longstone Moor where we explore the landscape and history, passing old mine workings. From the edge of the moor, far reaching views will allow us to spot famous Peak District landmarks. 
 
Event Grade: moderate walk on ground with sometimes rough and uneven terrain and gradients.
 
Extra Items:  Suitable clothing and footwear. Packed lunch.
