A walk from Danebridge following the River Dane and through the surrounding area taking in the famous Lud's Church, Hanging Stone and Castle Cliff Rocks. You'll hear a wealth of spooky tales, myths and legends of the area which have inspired local storytellers and brewers as well as the extraordinary historical exploits of the Brocklehursts one of the areas most influential families who lived at the Swythamley Estate. We walk back along the beautiful River Dane before finishing at the Wincle Beer Company where hot drinks, soft drinks, local ice-cream and beer are available to purchase. Suitable for children aged 8 and above.

Event Grade: Moderate - moderate walks on ground with sometimes rough and uneven terrain and gradients.

Extra Items: There will be a coffee/tea break stop and a lunch stop so please bring packed lunch/drinks. The terrain will be muddy in places so please ensure appropriate footwear is worn.

Event Terrain: Moderate terrain with a few steep climbs and stiles, can be muddy in places.
