A winter walk to the summit of Shutlingsloe. A stroll through Macclesfield Forest crossing local moorland, followed by a climb to the summit of Cheshire’s Matterhorn - taking in spectacular views if the weather is kind.

 

Event Grade: Moderate – moderate walks on ground with sometimes rough and uneven terrain and gradients.

 

Event Terrain: Using surfaced forest paths then a stone path to the summit of Shutlingsloe with a steep climb to the top.

 

Start: 9.30am   Finish: 3.00pm

 

Meeting Point: Trentabank Ranger Centre. Toilets available at meeting point.

 

Parking: Pay and Display. Pay and display takes coins only no card payment.
